Dystopian Tuesday

It’s Dystopian Tuesday, and naturally, I have found another great book for you all to check out. I can barely keep up with the Dystopian genre. There are more books coming out every day. That’s a really good thing because I like this genre.

The one I have found for you reminds a lot of the books, The 100. They made The 100 into a television series and some of you may watch the show on the C.W. channel. I was watching the show faithfully, but I couldn’t handle the girl kissing thing, so I quit watching. I’m old-fashioned that way. The book I have chosen today, The Burn, is written by author Annie Oldham. The people in this novel are below the sea and come to the surface. Whereas, in The 100, the people come from space. It’s not free on Kindle, but it’s only 0.99 cents, so that’s practically free.

The Burn is full of nuclear fallout, roving gangs, anarchy, unreliable plumbing. That’s what Terra’s father tells her. She has lived her whole life in comfort in a colony at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. She hates it. And she would pay any price to leave. But when Terra finally escapes the colony, she finds out her father is right. She finds a group of survivors that quickly become friends, and every day with them is a race for survival. But then she witnesses and commits unspeakable acts, and she must decide where her loyalty lies: with the colony she despises or The Burn, where every day is filled with nightmares.

Sounds really good! So help a fellow author out and purchase her book. Remember, if you buy the book, leave a review. You can also visit Annie’s Facebook page and give her a like.
